What is Drip Content?
Drip content lets you release course modules over time rather than making everything available at once. This helps:- Prevent students from rushing through content
- Create a structured learning pace
- Simulate a classroom schedule
Unlock Types
| Type | How It Works |
|---|---|
| Days after enrollment | Module unlocks X days after the student enrolls |
| Specific date | Module unlocks on a fixed calendar date |
| After module completion | Module unlocks when the student completes a prerequisite module |
Setting Up Drip Schedules
- Go to Admin → Courses → [Course] → Curriculum
- Edit a module’s settings
- Configure the drip schedule:
- Select the unlock type
- Set the value (number of days, date, or prerequisite module)
- Save
Student Experience
- Locked modules show a lock icon in the lesson sidebar
- Students cannot access lessons within locked modules
- When the unlock condition is met, the module becomes available automatically
Enabling Drip Content
Drip scheduling must be enabled at the course level:- Edit the course settings
- Check Drip Enabled
- Then configure individual module schedules in the Curriculum Builder
